How to order optical filter:
in order to get right filters, you should tell us the parameters in below:
Angle of Incidence - the performance of interference filters will decreases as AOI increased.
FWHM – the spectral distance between the cut-on & cut-off wavelengths of a bandpass filter.
Blocking – a measure of how well a filter stops energy of a particular wavelength from passing through. Blocking, or rejection, is expressed in optical density.
Center Wavelength (CWL) – wavelength correspondence to the center of a bandpass filter.
Cut-Off Wavelength – the point on the falling edge of a shortpass filter or the red edge of a bandpass filter where the transmission drops to 50% of its peak value.
Cut-On Wavelength – the point on the rising edge of a longpass filter or the blue edge of a bandpass filter where the transmission reaches 50% of its peak value.
Reflection – for filters that redirect a portion of the spectrum, such as a dichroic, this is the fraction of energy incident upon the filter at any particular wavelength that is reflected off.
Substrate Material Considerations - Fused Silica, bk7, Float Glass, Absorptive Glass
Temperature Effects - the performance of an interference filter shifts with temperature changes due to the expansion and contraction of the coating materials.
Transmission – the fraction of energy incident upon the filter at any particular wavelength that passes through the filter. Expressed as either a percent (85%) or a fraction of 1 (0.85)
